Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Dental checkups and cleanings every six months are the secret to maintaining a perfectly healthy smile year after year. During these visits, Dr. Sadhnani and our team will carefully examine your smile and check for any hidden cavities, signs of gum disease, or other concerning symptoms, including those that might indicate oral cancer. From there, we’ll also remove any built-up plaque and tartar that your toothbrush at home isn’t able to clear away, ensuring that your teeth aren’t just healthy—they’re also brilliantly bright!

Children’s Dentistry

We know that finding dental care for the whole family can sometimes be a challenge. At our office, we’re more than happy to treat your children alongside you. We offer a wide range of services tailored to children, including routine checkups and cleanings, as well as fluoride treatment options and dental sealants.

Gum Disease Treatment

Gum disease is actually one of the leading causes of tooth loss, and half of all US adults over the age of 30 are believed to have at least one form of this problematic condition. That said, gum disease is still highly manageable and treatable if caught early on, but if things continue to worsen, our team can help with scaling and root planing. This process involves carefully clearing out the deep pockets of bacteria in your gum tissue and then smoothing out the roots of your teeth to encourage proper healing.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that’s found in the majority of oral hygiene products, as well as most local tap water sources. It’s capable of remineralizing the enamel of your teeth, making it an invaluable part of any oral hygiene regimen. Following a routine dental cleaning, we can administer a brief, safe fluoride treatment (typically as a gel or varnish) to your teeth to provide an added layer of cavity-protection between visits. We also offer silver diamine fluoride treatments.

Dental Sealants

Simply put, it’s much easier to prevent cavities than to treat them after they’ve formed—and dental sealants are one of the best measures for blocking cavity-causing bacteria. These are small coatings that can be used to cover the pitted and grooved surfaces of teeth that are extra vulnerable to bacteria and food debris, like the back molars. These sealants are perfectly safe for both children and adults, and they can withstand all of the forces of biting and chewing.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Bruxism, also known as teeth grinding, is a troublesome condition that causes many patients to unknowingly grind their teeth or clench their jaws, often while asleep at night. This can lead to intense wear and tear on the teeth, not to mention it places quite a bit of excess strain on the TMJ, which are the joints that connect your jaw to the rest of your skull. Needless to say, these issues can have quite a negative impact on your quality of life.

Fortunately, bruxism is something that can easily be managed with the help of a custom-made nightguard provided by Dr. Sadhnani. These devices are worn primarily at night, and they gently reposition the jaw to prevent teeth grinding and relieve the strain placed on the jaw joints. Since yours will be made specifically for you, know that it will also feel natural to wear, in addition to providing symptom relief.

TMJ Treatment

TMJ disorders can cause chronic jaw pain, headaches, facial discomfort, and difficulty chewing, often affecting your overall quality of life. We can carefully diagnose TMJ issues by evaluating your bite, jaw alignment, and muscle function. Based on your specific needs, we may recommend custom-made occlusal splints to relieve pressure on the jaw.

We might also suggest equilibration, or occlusal adjustments, which involve carefully reshaping certain teeth to ensure that there is no unfavorable contact occurring. Our goal is to address the underlying cause of TMJ discomfort, reduce strain on jaw joints, and help prevent long-term damage.
